Fashion has always been my true love, but when it came to choosing a career, I took a little detour into the world of engineering and snagged myself a fancy MBA. You know, just wanted to prove to myself that I could do hard things.
Over the next 13 years, as I ascended the professional ladder, I felt this urge to let my creativity shine through my style. It was my way of reconnecting with what I love, especially in the midst of feeling disconnected from my career, and it worked! I cultivated a personal style that felt authentic and exciting.
When Covid disrupted life, giving me a moment for introspection, I realized it was time to realign my career. Summoning the courage to act on this revelation took a minute, but guess where I found the strength to embrace authenticity? Yep, in my wardrobe and my personal style!
Then, the big "Aha!" moment hit – clothes possess transformative power. Cultivating an authentic style externally can spark genuine decision-making in other areas of life.
Fueled by this realization, I embarked on a mission to create a framework to help other cultivate authentic personal style, free from external validation, mirroring my organic journey.
Leveraging my unique background, I transformed personal style into a teachable skill. I delved into the realms of beauty perception, color science, and the psychology and sociology of fashion. Not be a nerd - although I may in fact be one - but to establish a sturdy foundation from which individuals can make informed decisions and cultivate confidence in their style and wardrobe choices.
